Sedona Shepherd Sanctuary

Ace and King were recently surrendered to the North Jersey Community Shelter in Bloomingdale, NJ.  They are father and son, pure bred German Shepherds.  We had the opportunity to meet both dogs.  They are friendly dogs, just in need of a nice warm home.  Apparently their prior owner, was a back yard breeder and had been leaving both dogs out in the cold this winter.

Ace and King appear to be dog friendly.  They do not need to be adopted together.  Both dogs are intact.  Sedona Shepherd is working with the shelter and if they are not adopted by the shelter, we are looking to bring one or both dogs into our program.  They are 6 and 7 years old respectively and in good health.

Would you be willing to meet and foster Ace or King for Sedona Shepherd?  You can fill out an online foster application for us.  The North Jersey Community Animal Shelter (NJCAS) would be glad to speak with anyone interested in adopting them directly from the shelter as well and can be reached at 973-850-6767.  They are located at 23 Brandt Lane, Bloomingdale, NJ (Formerly Bloomingdale Animal Shelter).

Sedona Shepherd Sanctuary is a 501(c)3 non profit rescue dedicated to finding homes for adult and senior German Shepherds. We are based in New Jersey and will adopt to homes in New Jersey, Eastern Pennsylvania, Delaware, New York City, Southern New York and Long Island. If you are outside of this range, send us an email or give us a call and we will see if we can make arrangements to find a home with one of our dogs or one of the other rescue groups we work with.
