Ariel – A Beautiful and Friendly German Shepherd
Ariel has everything you could want in an adult German Shepherd. She is friendly with people of all ages. Ariel is good in a house and easy going around other animals. She is of course, very pretty. Aries spent most of her life in a house, so she is house trained and has spent time in a crate. In fact at night when it’s time to go to sleep, she prefers to curl up in her crate.
The past few weeks have been difficult on Ariel. The husband of her owner passed away and the mom could no longer afford to live in her home and had to choose between being homeless or moving into an apartment that did not allow dogs. After a brief stay at Philadelphia ACCT, Ariel made her way to Sedona Shepherd Sanctuary at the end of February.
Ariel is settling in nicely and enjoying the company of all of our volunteers. She is 7 years old, spayed and in overall good health. So far she has spent time with Kaiser and completely ignored him. In general Ariel ignores dogs and doesn’t mind being around dogs in a play area or on walks. Inside a home she can get picky about which dogs she wants near her. Therefore we would recommend either a mild mannered dog or no other dog. According to her prior owner Ariel is good with cats. When we introduced her to a cat, she did ignore the cat.
