Capone – An Affectionate Adult German Shepherd Looking For A Home

Rescued from our program last year, Capone was living comfortably in his forever home when his beloved owner unexpectedly passed away. Missing his best friend, Capone is in urgent need of a new home (foster or forever) and a new best buddy. A gentle giant with classic good looks, Capone is smart, well-mannered and would make an especially great companion for a single person, couple, or senior seeking a devoted dog.

Capone is about 8-years old and came to Sedona with bad ear infections. The infections were worse than we thought so he had an ear operation last year that left him partially deaf. He’s adjusted well to the hearing loss, and just enjoys hanging out with his people. Low-key and easy-to-care for, Capone’s needs are simple: a couple of toys (the purple/blue one in the photo is his FAVORITE), a bed, and a couple of walks a day, and of course, a new best pal.

Bonding with a mature guy like Capone has advantages: he’s house broken and easy-to-care for. He’ll let you know when he needs to go out, when it’s time for dinner, or when he wants to play. Capone is good with people, loves to play tuggies with toys, or just relax with a bully stick and hang out with you. Capone is not good with other dogs and needs to be in a home with no other animals.  Because he is mostly deaf, we feel he’d do best in a home with no small children running around.
