Jyn – A Gentle Soul Saved

Sedona Shepherd Jyn

Jyn is a gentle soul who now has a warm and loving foster home through Sedona Shepherd.  She was originally picked up as a stray in southern New Jersey in terrible condition.   Her skin was dried out, part of her fur had been dyed purple, she had some puncture wounds and what appeared to be blisters.   Jyn had completely shut down, refusing to get up out of her run for the first week at the shelter.  She was scared and in need of medical care and TLC.

Sedona Shepherd took Jyn into our foster program and continued the medical treatment she had been receiving at the shelter.  Slowly, Jyn has come out of her shell.   Although she is shy, Jyn is happy to meet new people and has been spending time with adults and the foster’s grand children.

Jyn’s skin condition has greatly improved.  She has still has some dry patches, but her fur is almost completely grown in.  She very much likes being outside, and enjoys just relaxing or walking in the grass.  We estimate that Jyn is pure–bred German Shepherd about 8 to 9 years old.  Jyn would do fine in a loving home.  We do not know how she would be with cats, but she should be ok with a well mannered dog.
