Mia – A Darling Adult German Shepherd
Mia is a gentle, friendly and trusting 6 year old female German Shepherd. Mia came into our program at the end of July, after she was less then 2 hours away from being euthanized at an overcrowded shelter. Mia enjoys meeting new friends. She has a happy personality, despite the fact that she is currently being treated for very itchy skin and a yeast infection.
Mia has lived in a home for most of her life. She is house trained and walks nicely on a leash. Mia generally ignores other dogs, or has a soft happy tail wag when seeing a dog nearby. Mia would do well in just about any household, except no cats, as her prey drive kicks in when small animals cross her path. Mia is underweight and has a number of rough patches on her skin. Mia’s yeast and skin infections, all being taken care of with the help of our friends at Fanwood Animal Hospital.
We are looking for a nice home for Mia, and would love to place her in a foster home. Mia is not yet spayed, our goal is to take care of her skin and yeast infections first and then get her spayed once she has a clean bill of health. If you are interested in fostering or adopting Mia, shoot us a request for more information at firstname.lastname@example.org or fill out an adoption application form.
