ZEUS – Stunningly Handsome German Shepherd – Brooklyn

It’s been a difficult year for Zeus, but thanks to caring folks in New York, Zeus is getting a second chance at having a good life.  Zeus was a hit and run accident.  After hitting Zeus with their car, someone drove off instead of helping this poor guy.  Luckily a Good Samaritan brought him into an emergency vet hospital in Brooklyn.

X-rays taken by the hospital revealed a broken front leg and older fracture in his back.  Clearly, life was not kind to Zeus.  The vet hospital fixed his front leg and provided care for Zeus for over a month, nursing him back to good health.

Through the entire ordeal, Zeus has been super friendly with the staff and all the humans he has met.  Because of his injuries and being in a vet setting, he has not been allowed to interact with other dogs, so we do not know if he would be good in a home with other dogs.  Given his older injury, we would like to see him be the only dog in a home.  Preferably a home without too many steps into and out of the house.

Zeus is estimated to be about 5 years old.  He is ready for a new home.  Sedona Shepherd is teaming up with Shepherds Hope to find Zeus a foster home or place him directly into his new forever home.   From a logistics perspective, please note that Zeus is still currently in Brooklyn.  We are fine adopting him to a family in New Jersey or surrounding area.

If you are interested in possibly fostering or adopting Zeus you can request for more information at contact@sedonashepherd.com or fill out an adoption application form directly with Shepherd’s Hope Rescue.
