Marcus (aka Marcus Aurelius) arrived with Sedona Shepherd on March 22, 2024. He spent his entire life at the home of an Amish Breeder. Sedona has once again teamed up with Finding Shelter Animal Rescue to save a dog that was being ‘thrown away” by a breeder. He is a gentle, trusting soul that just loves to be with people or dogs.
This stoic shepherd is now safe in a foster home and pending adoption.
May 7th Update
Since arriving at his foster home, Marcus has continued to build up his strength and enjoy his new life. When he originally arrived, Marcus had a urinary tract infection, parasites in his stomach, and atrophy in his back legs. His urinary tract infection and stomach issues have all cleared up. Marcus loves going for car rides and being outside while his foster mom is doing yard work. Marcus spent some time with us at the Red Bank Street Fair, and the Readington Brewery “Yappy Hour” where he enjoyed greeting new people. He was also chill around other dogs, big and small.
On May 7th, Marcus met his soon to be forever family. The meeting with his new two and four legged family went great. Marcus is scheduled to be neutered and have a dental cleaning next week. Once that is complete, Marcus will be heading up to live with his new family. We can’t wait for the next part of his journey.
