Kayla is a sweet girl who had a rough start in life. Her current guardians took Kayla into their homes after finding out about Kayla being neglected and underweight. Despite her rough start, through care and support of her guardians, Kayla overcome her early deprived homelife and is a thriving, healthy, active and friendly German Shepherd dog.

As you would expect, Kayla is smart and a quick leraner. She knows her commands and loves to play with her human friends in her back yard. She will chase tennis balls or other toys, especially her favorite toy knot. Kayla is active and enjoys long walks or a hike. Her favorite snack to take along is carrots.

Kayla was originally co-existing with the other senior German Shepherd in the house, However as Kayla become healthy, it became clear that Kayla was not able to co-exist with her current owner’s dog. The dogs are kept safely separated but that is not a long term solution for Kayla.

If you enjoy cuddle time with a shepherd, Kayla is your girl. She loves spending time with humans. She has not had a lot of exposure to young children. Kayla loves her crate and is trustworthy in the house. She is completely house trained, healthy and microchipped. She does take anti-anxiety medication to help reduce the stress of living in a house with another dog. As mentioned, they are always separated.

Kayla will be spayed in the next week. Kayla is part of our owner referral program. We have met and evaluated Kayla.
